ANZAC Walk ¡V Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach

¿D¬w³·±ù

ANZAC was the name given to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers who landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey early on the morning of 25 April 1915 during the First World War (1914-1918). As a result, on 25th of April every year the whole of Australia gathers in solemn ceremonies of remembrance, gratitude and national pride for all our men and women who have fought and died in all wars.

Today- 26th April, a public holiday, almost 20 members of BLIAYAD, Sydney and BLIA, Sydney met at Coogee Beach to start a 2hrs walk to Bondi Beach. The weather was beautiful; we had the sun shining on us warming our bodies as we strolled along the coastline with cool sea breezes. We would stop to enjoy the ocean view and appreciate the beauty of nature.

It was a wonderful way to remember those who sacrificed their lives for us, without them we might not have what we have now. As Buddhism reminds us to appreciate everything we have in life and not take them for granted because for one thing to exist, it requires a lot of conditions to come together.
