Buddha statue donation

        BLIA Chennai chapter requested for a Buddha statue to its center for their regular activity to Mr Suryan chotkul of Thailand. Mr . Suryan in turn arranged a Buddha statue from Ven Somkiat Noiwan of Thailand.  Statue was sent by ship to Chennai We faced many problem in port of Chennai as it needs to pay the tax. Same was paid with service charges Mr Suryan Ven. PM Somkiat wanted to visit India for donation ceremony personally.  Unfortunately ship delayed and donation ceremony was assigned to other Thai monks studying in Chennai

Newly elected BLIA Chennai Chapter President discussed with seniors to organize donation function .Circulars sent to all members and local well wishers. Meeting was started at 11 am with Triple gem five precepts by Ven. Phramaha Prasat, Ven.Phramaha Jaroon both research scholars in Chennai. Upasaka E Anban senior member, Mr .Durai. Parthsarathy, chapter president,  received the statue on behalf of BLIA Chennai chapter. Ven Phramaha Jaroon, lectured how Thailand Buddhist practice Paramis, the Teachings of Buddha.Dhana is the first parami that all Buddhist  practice, I wish you all visit this center frequently and organize meditation, summer classes for children.

 

Dr Miomi FUKUDA an environmentalist from Japan and two other NGO visited this function and lectured on global warming what it is? How to overcome or delay the earth warming. Dr.Mizue Mr.Yama yamato joined the function. BLIA volunteer decorated the statue with colorful flowers. 

 

A humble start to practice Buddhism from here all sentient being  can practice Buddha mind.

Temples are places for study, read, Meditate – practice Buddhism. This place was having a roof with thatched coconut leaf. This condition to be improved to attract many devotees
