 BLIA Darjeeling organized a Vesak Day peace procession on May 16th. It started with a morning expression of devotion at 8 am and a talk about the purpose of celebrating Vesak Day. At 9:45 am the members started the peace procession at Chowrashta and were joined by other Buddhist organizations as they proceeded around the town of Darjeeling. After lunch, students from the Kripasaran Buddhist Mission enthusiastically participated in a quiz program and a talk on Buddhism. After an evening expression of devotion at 5 pm, this meaningful day came to an end.
