2001.11.11 Donation of Computers Bangkok, Thailand

On November 11th, BLIA Bangkok held a Sentiment & Kindness Computer Donation Program in order to bring joy to the people of Yung-tang Village in Northern Thailand.  Lead by Ven. Hui Sheng and Chapter President Su-lin Miao-fen, the chapter donated books, 12 sets of computers with a fully equipped classroom and study sponsorship funds to 62 students.

Distinguished guests included the county magistrate, Minister of Education and the town mayor.  During her address, Su-lin Maio-fen extended her appreciation to Master Hsing Yun for naming the computer classroom “Wish Fulfillment through IT”.  It is the Master’s hope that the students can devote themselves to advanced technology in this computer era.

The distinguished guests in their speeches also expressed their appreciation to the BLIA for their contributions of education, culture and charity to the people of Northern Thailand.
